Tasting Note
Harold was Born on February 12th, 1922. He spent the majority of his life working the land. His strength was undoubtedly in livestock – cattle and pigs were by far his priority over general farm work, although he was renowned for being able to mend almost anything with a piece of fencing wire and a pair of pliers.
Deep inky ruby with purple hues in appearance, this classic Barossa Shiraz displays complex vanilla, blackcurrant, spice and smoky cedar on the nose. A dense rich palate showing ripe mulberry, plum, fig, berry jam and supporting oak. Well-structured by beautiful acidity and savoury tannins with a long refined finish. Blended from our best parcels of Shiraz which were matured separately in 40% American new oak for 20 months.
